Tamara, I loved this post! This is something that comes up a lot for many of my clients. They often want to know what social media policies to put in place and how to actually implement them. Your article will be a great resource.

All four points are important. A promotional product has staying power. So when selecting an item think of a product that will hang around at least for 6 months. In the corporate world, it is important to establish good and long term contacts with employees, business partners, and clients. Promotional products such as branded t-shirt, baseball caps, coffee mugs, umbrellas, flashlights, pens, do not cost much but they do help in promotion of brands when they are given as gifts. You do want to leave a good impression so maybe a coffee mug that changes color as hot liquid is poured in, a baseball cap with a can opener attached, a funky goofy pen. Make it memorable.

Thanks so much for your comment, Amanda! I really appreciate you taking the time to share. You are so right when you say that lack of trust in oneself affects many different areas of life, even if we don't realize it. Sometimes we may realize how the lack of trust manifests in one area but don't see how it affects other areas as well. Kudos to you for realizing the issue and striving to work on it. Keep it up! :)

dear god i have struggled with this so much throughout my life. it comes up ALL OVER THE PLACE. i finally realized i was sabotaging my own progress (and safety) by not paying following my instincts. thing is, even when everything's going fine, i start to overanalyze & manage to get myself so worried it triggers my internal alert system.

i realize this results from wanting to get things right, avoid pain, and not cause myself extra drama.

[insert stories of childhood & adult trauma, parenting issues, & more] . . . [insert long rant about how all of this impacts everything from personal goals to relationships to professional aspirations]

in the end, i've learned that this is the time to just let things be & stop trying to analyze things so much. it's an ongoing struggle, though, and although i'm far from successful, i'm glad i at least figured out what's going on!

Great information!

Public speaking is an important skill in most careers. The ability to speak well is crucial to getting hired for a decent job and to persuade your audience if you’re speaking in public.
